My first Whatnot auction was absolutely insane. Will be posting a vid about it soon. Thank you everyone who participated.
Ass brands, assuming they're not covered with diarrhea stains (as you frequently like to point out), can sometimes do ok when you pick them up on sale for $1 or under. Otherwise, I find it's better to pick up fewer but higher-quality items just because they'll flip much quicker and for higher margins.
Your vids are very helpful & informative.
I'm glad you mentioned vintage Mossimo. Before target picked it up, it was kind of a hot item (mid 90s). I remember having to go to boutique stores to find it with brands like Stussy, 26 Red, JNCO, etc.
Side note: my daughter thinks you are the Winter Soldier π. Thanks for the videos!
Someone donated 2 pairs of Faded Glory booties to me. I almost didn't list them. They both sold within 3 weeks for 25 and 22. Who knows… But I agree, I wouldn't pick them at the thrift store.
Great videos
Vtg is polo with large embroidered numbers will sell
This is random and not having to do with your video but I too an experiencing pain as I work. This is a link to 2 dorky physical therapists that know their stuff. I like their vast knowledge. https://youtu.be/sBJkGoScFjM
If you add American Eagle to this list, these brands make up 85% of the brands I see. And wrangler.
literally 90% of the clothing at the bins lol
I was waiting for Arizona. lol
Do you have a necktie bolo list?
When youβre sourcing at the bins, do you stick to your niche (menβs clothing), or do you also pick up desirable womenβs clothing as well?

The people that say every sales on ebay eventually , that's not true at all. We all have items that just won't sale at all. That will either end back at Thrift or sold off cheap on Marketplace etc . Your vids are so cool πβΊ
Great video – good subject. I donβt sell many mensβ clothes because I donβt know much about menβs clothes. I am learning from you. Thanks for the info.
Van Heusen is usually found at outlet malls.
You know, you are totally to blame for this but I find myself now flipping through the racks and in my head, I am saying "ass, ass, ass". Hopefully someday I won't actually be talking outloud. Today, everything was ass.
I wanted to say thank you man. Because of your teachings, I was able to spot a Saks Fifth Avenue, Cashmere, Armani two-button, suit jacket, great condition, just sitting there.
Kirkland always gets me because all of their stuff, shirts, shoes, shirts feel like such good quality.
Any of these NWT are worth selling
So- thank you for existing. I've learned so much in the short time that I've started reselling, and shifted into clothes which I would have been so lost. Your advice on "look for reasons NOT to purchase an item has been paramount in smart decision making. 1000 thank yous from Phoenix – the devil's anus.
Enjoyed! πππ
American rag… Very good to know
I want Kyle to play thrift a life in one of these resale nerdcore buzzzfeed list vids. He would slay
I love this advice!
Beverly Hills Polo Club – I've sold some carpenter jeans in this brand. Otherwise it's a hard pass every time.
I agree with your list 100%
thanks, just the type of video i've been wanting. i'm in NJ and some of these i never see, whereas there are other ass brands like Gildan and Champion (though i think you said the latter is okay at the bins?) I see every single trip. hope you'll consider doing more videos like this if you can think of another 20!
Wanted to thank you for the Menswear manifesto. That took a ton of work and I definitely didn't give you enough money π¬. It is indispensable.
Thanks for these, Stay away from that @ss vids.Btw.Thankyou!! I started buying Dickies again.I found two new pairs last week. One sold this morning.
I have been suckered by a few of these ass brands. great vid, thanks for the info
Thanks for the comments on big men's sizes, much appreciated.
I sold two vintage 90s NWT beverly hills polo club sweatshirts with cool graphic prints
Day after watching this video one of my A$$ brands sells, Mossimo. But as mentioned in video it was only picked up cause
1. From bins so cost $1.5
2. Summer trends – cargo shorts
3. Larger size – 42
4. Found 3 pairs of them (didnβt lot up but should have).
I'm a firm believer that one day, brands such as Merona, Cherokee, White Stag etc will have a following. The quality of the fabrics of any of these made before 2008 is much better than many high street brands of today.
