Just finished the movie. Honestly didn’t like it. Had some great elements but I thought the background story really ruined it

This movie is crap. I didn’t like it.
Did we watch the same movie? Ya'll said she makes smart decisions, but she is stupid, she makes bad decisions over and over again. The director had two different stories, but did not know how to weave them together in an organic way. This movie is not scary at all, total waste of time and money.

Are you kidding me? The Director is from The Whitest Kids You Know? I knew the name sounded familiar. I just saw the film tonight and it was great but I wasn't sure who the director was. I met him on The Whitest Kids You Know tour when they performed at a bar. It wasn't even a club it was a tiny bar. One of them went to my High School and we talked for a while after. I had no idea he directed this excellent Horror film.
With the title of the movie I think it’s supposed to be about how we see the monster lady as the barbarian/monster but AJ and the old man where the real barbarians.
I figured out the name of the movie before I figured out anything else about this movie. The people are all on Barbary street. They are "Barbarians" as of "From Barbary". And about that time it scared the piss out of me again.

Just watched this movie. Love where movies are going. Bodies, bodies, bodies was obviously Lord of the flies. This is a manifestation of the horrors of women. We can't win for losing. Brilliant classic that makes men and other gendered people understand why it sucks to be a natural born female.
Between the movie don't breathe and this movie Barbarian Detroit must have a lot of ………..
*It was ok. The trap-set up under the house was cool. The main girl Tess Pissed the entire theater off. You could hear the audience complain too. She kept making mistake after mistake. No logical girl would put up with staying in that area the house was in. The minute the other house guess got caught by the monster, she should of got in her car, and got real help. Not the hood police. When Justin Long showed up, this entire film went from Horror to Comedy. 7/10.
I still can't get over the "muh baby" scene where the crazy methhead mother who jumps off, right after Tess jumped off.
Hot take: It's better than Get Out.

Saw the trailer for this movie right before NOPE and the trailer alone made me nervous. Can't imagine what this movie would do to me.
this movie was stupid. She landed on top of mother when she was thrown first and mother jumped 3 seconds after her. and she lives.

Georgina Campbell was fantastic in 'Murdered by my Boyfriend', but that is a very difficult watch.
