  1. And, I forgot to mention I’m very much looking forward to watching your journey in Mexico! I finally just got a van myself, sure could have used that Jackery but I didn’t submit my story because it would have broke your heart. LOL. I’m glad Uncivilize got it, great choice!! And now I have a fun new YouTuber to watch too, so thanks for that!

  2. Carolyn l have been watching you from the beginning and l have been very impressed with the way you have created this journey and what you have achieved along the way you have always been honest and responsible with what you have said and done and showed the good n bad of RV living…….l feel that you have helped and encouraged many women and some men along the way with their own lives to have a better understanding about how the environment works……to be true to yourself and that life is a fantastic opportunity to see what's going on in the world today and how one person can make a difference in how they live …….you have definitely made my life more interesting and seeing places l had only read about …. l thank you for that …… πŸ™ ❀ πŸ’“ for the time and effort you put into your channel so we can see another side of life and things n places we would not get to see or do β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β€ God bless and know you are much appreciated ❀❀❀❀❀

  3. I think you’re doing a great job. You’re amazingly brave and quite intelligent, and I always appreciate people who think about and analyze things. So I found this video interesting, yes. I don’t understand people who have nothing better to do than criticize other people. You mention that sometimes that people are so judgy with you, but I bet if their lives were public there would be much to criticize for those prone to that. I don’t get what they are criticizing or why it’s their business but whatever. Thankfully, you will just keep being who you are.

  4. Good video! Most don't realize the effort of editing. In my case it takes 4x the time of taking the pic's. Stop & enjoy the 🌷 & produce 1 less video per week & make some shorter to get more free time.

How about a video on the business of YouTube, TikTok & your goals on income in the future. Review time management, video length needed to max income & your rest 😴 πŸ’€ too! It may help plan your weeks differently! Good luck on achieving balance & peace!

  5. Great talk, really enjoyed that even as a sticks and bricks person. What I'm hearing is , living our "best" life is a trade off but the key to wellbeing/contentedess is stopping to 'smell the the roses' along the way. Thank you.

  6. I get that about being a natural woman. It does feel good and it does make a difference (using many less products, not adhering to certain standards of beauty). I'm about to perform in a Samba Parade and my armpits will not be shaved (as well as several other dancers). That's Humboldt for you. Anyway, Love your message.
Oh I also get it about having a channel being a job.

  7. I'm a British expat living on a small island in the Mediterranean. I came here over 20 years ago with my husband to live our dream. Unfortunately 7 years ago he met someone who was 10 years older than me and 5 years younger than him. My ultimate dream is to have a small plot of land with a tiny cabin and living off grid. I've bought a caravan and I've had it shipped over and it's now parked permanently on a unsecured campsite. This has meant that it got broken into and folk have been sleeping in the awning. I'd love to move it but unfortunately there's no where else. I'm now saving like crazy to get enough money together in order to buy a small plot.

  8. Carolyn, I especially enjoyed this video because I have wondered if you had any regrets about RV life. I am a bit of a loner since my partner passed away, and your videos afford me a virtual friend! So thank you for that. I look forward to to your videos. Thanks for the inspiration. And stay safe out there!

  9. I'm not sure I understand giving up running water, what does that accomplish? I think U judge yourself too harshly! U had the balls to leave your life and create a different life that makes U so much happier. Not many single women can do it and U R. People who say you're not this or that or a true nomad i would just say 'You're right! I'm who I want to be and what makes myself happy at this moment in time!" 2 years U may want a different life and YOU have the guts to do it. That is why we watch because we do not have the guts to do it so we live through you! What a great example and just a fun enjoyment you and your dog have been to us all!

  10. Understand all you expressed. There nothing wrong with modern conveniences except when there is no balance. I get very upset with myself cause my phone is always in my hand. It became a habit I need to break. I am getting rid of most of my possessions at this time in my life. Divorced after 30 years of marriage rocked my world. So now I'm moving into a van with very little and can't wait. I live in Arkansas so have many beautiful places I can stay. I agree that what we go through in life is an opportunity to learn. Thank you for sharing and being a genuine heart.

  11. Your channel as a solo slightly older woman traveling in an RV with your dog really resonated with me. Then I got to know you in all your glory, from Matilda, to Capone, to your new rig, all your adventures, your backpacking and occasional politics and opinions, to tips and tricks, etc and your channel in all of its honesty became my go-to to refer to when considering this life possibility in the future. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.

  12. Carolyn you are a highly educated woman with a hunger for knowledge and experiences. I can not see you in a off grid cabin and not be connected to the world. So, lady enjoy everything you can and to heck with what anyone else thinks or says or expects from you. You go girl!!! Thanks for sharing your life.

  13. Yes it was helpful. I'm glad I caught this one. I guess I'm one if those that someone said "old ladies need to stay out of an RV on the highways". Well, I still would like to do this but not in an RV. I think a van rebuild would be better for me. I would do an RV if I had someone to go with that has had experience with RV's. But now, its been so many yrs that this is what I would like to do, it looks like that will never happen. Because it hasn't happened by now, I guess it will never will.
Who knows. That may change. But if going to change, it better change quickly because of my age.
Yes I liked this video & I found it helpful. All of your videos are helpful. πŸ’πŸ’

  14. You are absolutely right Carolyn, taking care of ones self must come from within ones self , starting with mind , to body . Another YouTuber named Rusty , was a full time RVr for 25 years , he is now 77 . I think there does come a point in ones life where settling in one spot can be better for your mind and body and Rusty got to that point and purchased property as his home base. I for one could not work and be RVing , it would be play time for me . Curious how many hours in a day , are you actually working not only YouTube but your other work ? Enjoy your life and the adventure , I admire that you do it alone ,that takes some courage for a woman. I can do road trips alone , difference is , I do hotels or Airbnb' s vs in an RV out in wilderness , that's a Yikes for me πŸ˜‚

  15. Good job! You are living your life the way you want and makes you happy. People who criticize are jealous and need to keep negative remarks ro themselves….like your videos

  16. Yep, we take ourselves wherever we go. Another upcoming benefit will be your book sales, now that you have an audience πŸ‘ I'm so glad you've been using your wealth of talents to help others and in turn help yourself in so many ways. Your self growth has probably been accelerated due to your YouTube channel in a variety of ways. It's been a delight to watch you grow & glow. I too wasted about 15k on my 1st rv, ugh. And everything you said is so true about self care. Wish I was doing better in that area. You're doing GREAT❣❣❣❣ So happy for you and Sadie ofcourseπŸ’™πŸ¦‹πŸ’™
