Tendring has mentioned a giant thanks to the district’s emergency service heroes.

Emergency Companies Day, often known as 999 Day, was marked by the hoisting of a particular flag at Clacton City Corridor on Monday, 9 September.

‘999 Day’ recognises the contribution made by the emergency companies, together with the police, fireplace, ambulance and HM Coastguard.

Tendring District Council Chairman Dan Casey thanked the emergency companies for all the things they do to maintain residents protected.
