Israeli army says it killed senior Hamas chief Rawhi Mushtaha in a Gaza strike

The Israeli army mentioned Thursday that it killed a senior Hamas chief in an airstrike within the Gaza Strip round three months in the past.

It mentioned {that a} strike on an underground compound in northern Gaza killed Rawhi Mushtaha and two different Hamas commanders, Sameh Siraj and Sameh Oudeh.

There was no fast remark from Hamas.

The army mentioned the three commanders had taken refuge in a fortified underground compound in northern Gaza that served as a command and management heart.

It mentioned Mushtaha was a detailed affiliate of Yahya Sinwar, the highest chief of Hamas who helped mastermind the Oct. 7 assault into Israel that triggered the conflict.

Sinwar is believed to be alive and in hiding inside Gaza.
