Former New York Gov. David Paterson was attacked by a trio of younger suspects whereas strolling on the Higher East Facet on Friday evening, regulation enforcement sources stated.

Paterson, 70, was with a 20-year-old man after they encountered a bunch of three younger males, presumably teenagers, on Second Avenue close to East 96th Avenue shortly earlier than 9 p.m., the sources stated.

Some kind of confrontation ensued and Paterson and the 20-year-old have been assaulted by the group.

The ex-governor and the younger man sustained accidents to their face.

They have been taken to an area hospital to be handled, sources stated.

No arrests have been made as of late Friday.
