They have a car to sleep inn. Reply Homeless while working Reply How can your wife be proud of you living in a van. Rock bottom Reply Move out of California stupid Reply $19 an hour and u still have to live in a vehicle… Reply I see a loyal tax payer getting the short end of the stick smh I hope he’s doing better now Reply nothing has changed in fact it's only gotten worse 2021 Reply We need to use buildings that are setting empty. Such as we have in Salinas California. They built a police station when there were great buildings next to social services empty buildings. Huge empty buildings. Under 14 years old. Reply Ladies and gentlemen. Your California elected officials Reply Isn't capitalism great Reply Yeah life is broken ..i been working 2 jobs trying to save and save to live in my home town to which im no longer welcome …we all are getting run out to bring in out of towners and turist who pay top dollar and care little …its sad and we wont take any more of this …life is broken in a good way for the rich ..its like a slot machine that steals 4 quartes out of 5 quarters but its only machine we have ….i now am better but not great…i had to lie and steal to make a way …jk i got a 3rd job ….3k for a place in hollywood …how can anyone pay this and do nothing all day … Reply ofcourse a studio 1400 a 1 bedroom 1900 2 bedroom 2700 Reply That’s not the case for most Americans! Reply Myself too is doing this in Los Angeles,Ca.I can't afford not even a studio or without costing almost my entire income and I earn $1 dollar above minimum wage work 40 hours and I still pay a tenant $200 dollars a month to let me shower and pick up my mail.If i want to rent a room they asking for $800 dollars a month. My entire monthly net income is $1,700 bucks a month. But paying my own medical insurance, mini van insurance and maintenance expenses, and food (I do avoid greasy fast food) ,storage space,it still cost a bit of money to sleep on the streets of the SFV north of L.A.I have to keep a really low profile when I pull up a safe residential area to sleep for the night. So far no problems with the police.I have a 1,000 watt inverter to help me charge my android phone (where im typing right now) and run a medium sized fan to circulating air inside my van, keeping the window slightly open helps a little bit. Then the next day at my job I charge up my Inverter. Reply U.S is all about ripping people off. Corporate Greed. Reply I never saw a good looking person living in their car Reply This is why we need God as ruler rather than men. Humans will Never be able to make things right under their government. Reply I just hate this America doesn’t help you they trap you! Reply How tf do you make to much to qualify for public housing America needs to do something about this Reply There are cheaper places than santa Barbara. In fact its one of the most beautiful and expensive places to live in California. Reply I'm living in a van down by the river!! Reply Yes. Workaholics in cars vans and rvs can pay bills and have money leftover Reply Thinking about moving out of the city, and moving into my car. Since my Terrible Car Accident I want to be alone…😷 Reply He can't afford rent , because he only works 8 hours a day,5 days a week, if he doubled his work hours , he could afford everything, no problem, work 12-16 hours a day, make a real pay cheq , simple Reply I myself his retirement comes no I won't have the income to house myself so I've been looking into this has a way of living Reply There is nothing wrong with this. It's a state of mind. If you got food and can breathe then you are doing okay. Living paycheck to paycheck is not okay. So if in order to not worry means living in a car then so be it. If you live long enough you will find as an adult you don't answer to anyone but yourself. I can't even believe someone would cry about living in a car. Life can be so much worse like being terminally ill, victim of a violent crime or having no shelter whatsoever. When I think of people paying $200 to $300 thousand dollars for a place to sleep and watch tv I think that's absurd. Life is meant to be actively lived outside, not on a couch complaining about being broke. Reply He should make his wife drive the bus too. Double income can afford rent Reply here it is 2019 and this is still happening because i'm one of those underemployed Americans. I have a full time job and bringing home about $2200.00 per month and still have to live with family because i can not afford to live on my own.😒😢 Reply Does Mary work? Reply SB is very expensive-move!! Reply i'm right there behind ya….. unemployment just ran out, still no job…. savings are gone….. using a credit card now….. rent is going up next month….. Reply This used to be me in California couldn’t do this anymore Reply Living in a vehicle probably the best thing you could do for your financial future. There's no rent there's no electricity bill no cable bill no water bill. No heating or air condition bill. You see it all the time people working just to pay bills and at the end of the day what have you saved? Reply In this day and age, you have to be willing to relocate. Reply 2 thingsWrong with this situation. California’s cancer living there is retarded that’s your fault circuit this is a part of their situations on what choices they made they are in debt and they can’t afford houses because they have other shit to pay off there’s nothing to do with wages. The government does not help you out because you made mistakes Reply The cost of living is astronomical. What’s sad is how the California cost of living is spreading across the country. When you look at rent in the USA it’s pathetic. You can literally be paying $1,000 per month for empty space! Yet, you still have other bills and necessities that cost big money too. Then to add insult to injury ppl really think $15/hr is a living wage when a 1 bedroom apartment is $700-$1000 on avg in this country. Good luck with that. Ppl aren’t making $1000 every 2 weeks yet there expected to pay that for empty space. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
