It would be helpful if zoning laws everywhere would allow tiny homes to be built. That whole issue of requiring a certain amount of square feet for a dwelling makes housing less affordable.
to the beautiful humans who have been displaced know you are loved and valued and there are millions who care about you hear your stories and have fought for you although you may not have met us we have cared about you and fought this grave humanitarian crisis and grotesque injustice. there is no shame whatsoever in your circumstances oh these families these children these communities our country devastated by this. I was just reading how the judiciary in Florida well everywhere held back financial disclosure showing huge conflicts of interest judges holding investments in their stock portfolios of same banks these families were facing in court in their foreclosures among other crimes against humanity anyone facing this right now know and in the past there are so many ppl out there working to create change and to everyone extending help without judgment and loving and caring and assisting ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
what kind of person would 'break into a person's purse'??? the girl who said that looked like she shows off and pretended to be homeless just so she could stay in a hotel
Hard times indeed, but my sympathies for the construction industry (in general) are limited. It relies too much on endless population growth and unsustainable economic expansion.
Housing-starts should not be a "leading economic indicator." We can't accommodate 500 million people in America this century (see population projections). Quality of life is already tanking. We need a steady-state economy that doesn't bank on mindless growthism.

Do the money addicted gentrifiers have a time frame for when rents will be ten to twenty grand a month?
