Yoshida & Ryuji are 2 of the best you're trippin man
HOW THE FUCK IS IWAI THIRD TO LAST. He’s like a top 5 confidant hands down
I might be late to the discussion here, but Ryuji deserves to be top 5 because of how early you can max out his confidant rank on a new playthrough. He easily becomes your strongest party member after Joker.
"Yakuza have no real presence in Persona" The third target is a Yakuza leader. Also we got the Yakuza costume pack in the dancing game but that's neither here nor there.
Putting characters like Yoshida, Haru, Maruki, AND Ryuji down here is a sin. With these characters down as low as each of them are, I'm feeling a sense the DeModcracy here doesn't understand the benefits of each of these characters.
Yoshida – He is one of three confidants that you don't need any boost from a Persona of similar Arcana, and has one of the most vital final abilities: Being able to recruit any shadow regardless of level. Adding on with the chance of having them instantly join, you can gain an advantage for future palaces.
Haru – Haru is not joking, one of thee best members to have in your party. She is one of three who specializes in two attributes(her and Ryuji and Yusuke have a physical style and an magic element), while also having skills that are amazing to have at all times: Amirita Shower, Heat Riser, and -karn skills. (As well as her being best waifu)
Maruki – Firstly, the third semester should count towards his favor. Secondly, he gives you abilities to have a chance to heal aliments, gain SP, and other buffs. Lastly, he's the only confidant that you constantly gain items from.
Ryuji – This is heresy to not have in the top three. Ryuji is one of two members that can deal the highest amounts of damage, with Ana being the other. Ryuji has Charge, God's Hand, Matarukaja, and the second highest STR stat(and that's already close). As well as being the fastest confidant to complete as he is open instantly with the abilities of Insta-Kill and fastest to gain Endure.
These are core parts of this game and to the Persona/SMT series.

I’m shocked to see Yoshida very high up (I mean in the sense he is low but numbers stupid) Like, if your not the best with negotiations, he is quite helpful, you can get money and items way easier and quicker without having to do as much, and he just seems like a genuine good guy
the funniest part of the morgana useless thing is that he's the healer. he is pretty much required in your party
I consider the doctors confidant to be one of the worse ones but DAM is she hot

The reason I dislike mishima is because he talks about the phantom thieves more than the actual phantom thieves do, and it’s really god damned annoying
This game is so different dubbed man all those annoying lines don't feel like anything in the Japanese version
Morgana in the early game makes me want to punt him like a soccer ball.

idk what we experienced differently for Mishima. His confidant is great, and shows how a person can grow beyond their distorted desires with only a little push in the right direction and some hard honesty.

ok so in the 3rd semester theres an interaction i really like. When joker is about to go sleep and morgana pulls his classic "hey…oh nevermind"
I just like that joker gets out of bed to talk with morgana realising he has smth on his mind. Imo it shows morgana's character development considering his okumura arc and its just rly nice bc i wouldve done the same thing if i were in jokers shoes there
