So basically if you have on hand and wish to record you must set at desired resolution determined by color of light, press record/stop record, with power button? And how would you review on the spot? Do you have to transfer files to a computer or can you review from your phone? No WiFi live view?

Put the cam on on, press for 3 secondes the mode button, red light will flash 3 times then press again the mode button. Put the cam in place and wait. Got it ?
hello, I see someone said To bad the detection mode switch off after 1 minute and the camera shuts down 🙁 does this mean if I leave this some were and say 20minets later someone walks in front of it. it won't record them. ?
I got some questions on how to use this that I believe were not covered in this video.
1. How do you know when the camera is fully charged and even charging when you plug the USB?
2. How can you tell if the camera is officially on or off without recording?
3. What is ER mode? I can't find any information on what that is.

Hi, notice your camera is on all day, is it plugged into the power sorce or is the batterys like 9 hours??
Know it only recorded vea motion detection but still would have to be "on" to notice motion in the first place.

The charging cable is most likely a USB Mini B cord, they can be either 8-pin or 4-pin. Hope that helps anyone needing to know exactly what type of cord it takes.
